Todd A. Ailes is the project manager for the Bechtel Pueblo Team, the systems contractor for the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) that is currently under contract to the U.S. Department of Defense to destroy mustard agent-filled munitions stored at the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot in Colorado.
Before joining the PCAPP project in November 2021, Ailes was the site manager for the Pantex plant in Amarillo, Texas, overseeing daily aspects of plant operations involving nuclear weapons, plutonium pit storage, high explosives and general administration.
Ailes spent 12 years with the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program. This experience led to a more than 35-year career in the nuclear industry where he gained knowledge of nuclear plant operations, nuclear production and weapons manufacturing. He has extensive experience with operations and weapons systems including product development and funding/scheduling analysis.
Ailes has an Associate of Applied Science in Nuclear Technologies from Regents College, a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from New School University and a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri.
