Video Footage: Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant Systemization
The Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant, known as BGCAPP, was designed and constructed to safely destroy the chemical weapons stockpile stored at the Blue Grass Army Depot near Richmond, Kentucky. Currently, the plant is in the systemization phase in which all machinery, equipment and processes are operated and tested with water or simulants to ensure each functions together as an integrated system. The Static Detonation Chamber is being built to destroy problematic projectiles that cannot be easily processed at the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant at the Blue Grass Army Depot near Richmond, Kentucky.
