Public Event Marks Destruction of U.S. Chemical Weapons Stockpile in Colorado

A public event recognizing the destruction of all chemical weapons at the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot will be held at 2 p.m. MT Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the Pueblo Convention Center, 320 Central Main St., Pueblo, Colorado.
A public event recognizing the destruction of all chemical weapons at the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot will be held at 2 p.m. MT Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the Pueblo Convention Center, 320 Central Main St., Pueblo, Colorado.

The public is invited to a free event at the Pueblo Convention Center Aug. 30 at 2 p.m. to commemorate the destruction of the U.S. Chemical Weapons Stockpile previously stored at the U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot.

Hosted by Walton Levi, site project manager, Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant, the event will feature recognition of the workforce and partner organizations and will include musical performances from the 4th Infantry Division Band and the Pueblo County High School Voices. Light refreshments will be served. Guests are asked to wear business attire, and the military uniform is Service Dress.
