Special Event for Chemical Weapons Destruction Followed by Public Meeting June 8

The Program Executive Office, Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives (PEO ACWA) will hold a public event recognizing the destruction of all VX nerve agent weapons in the U.S. stockpile on Wednesday, June 8, at 1 p.m. EDT in Rooms A-D on the lobby level at Eastern Kentucky University’s (EKU) Carl D. Perkins Building located on Kit Carson Drive in Richmond, Kentucky.

The event will be immediately followed by the quarterly Kentucky Chemical Demilitarization Citizens’ Advisory Commission and Chemical Destruction Community Advisory Board meeting at 2 p.m. This meeting will provide updates on chemical weapons destruction operations on the Blue Grass Army Depot.

The event will include light refreshments. Directions and parking information may be found on the PEO ACWA website, and below. Business casual attire is suggested.
