On April 19, 2022, the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) completed the destruction of chemical weapons containing VX nerve agent stored at the Blue Grass Army Depot (BGAD). The one-of-a-kind plant began destroying M55 rockets containing VX nerve agent in July 2021. Focus at the plant now shifts toward the destruction of rockets containing GB nerve agent, which is scheduled to start later this year.
