Campaign Complete: End of Mustard-Agent Projectiles in Kentucky

On Sept. 4, 2021, the last of the 155mm mustard-agent projectiles were destroyed in the Explosive Destruction Technology facility at the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP). This marks the end of all mustard agent and projectiles in the chemical weapons stockpile in Kentucky. The projectiles and two Department of Transportation storage bottles were thermally decontaminated in the Static Detonation Chamber. Watch to follow the projectiles through the destruction process.
