In August, the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) continued operations under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pandemic recommendations. On Aug. 13, PCAPP workers reached a destruction milestone with 2,000 U.S. tons of agent destroyed. A permit modification request outlining the PCAPP Closure Plan has been submitted to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. As of Aug. 20, more than 170,000 105mm projectiles have been destroyed and the total amount of agent destroyed is 2,009.5 U.S. tons.
