In August, the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) continued processing projectiles in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pandemic recommendations. On Aug. 18, Sen. Mitch McConnell toured the Duncannon Training Facility to see how the Rocket Warhead Containerization System, which has identical robots and machines installed as the main plant, processes test rockets. On Aug. 4, members from two community advisory boards, as well as the media, also toured the Training Facility while being briefed on operational progress. Work continues at the Static Detonation Chamber 1200 and 2000 sites. As of Aug. 20, the total amount of agent destroyed is 159.9 U.S. tons.
