In July, the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) continued operations under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pandemic recommendations. On July 20, PCAPP workers reached seven million hours worked without a lost-time injury or illness, a testament to the priority and value safety has with the workforce. Project leaders conducted an In-Process Review for the government to assess project progress. Department of Defense officials gained insight as to where destruction currently stands at PCAPP. On July 23, several federal officials visited PCAPP. In addition to witnessing 105mm rounds being processed, they also toured the Static Detonation Chamber site. As of July 23, more than 153,000 105mm projectiles have been destroyed and the total amount of agent destroyed is 1,981.3 U.S. tons.
