In April, the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) continued processing in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pandemic recommendations. The workforce reached a plant milestone with the destruction of 25% of the total agent stored at the Blue Grass Army Depot. BGCAPP employees have been taking classes at the Duncannon Training Center to learn more about the new rocket handling system. Four major permit modifications requests related to rocket processing changes were submitted to the Kentucky Department for Environment Protection. Work continues at the Static Detonation Chamber 2000 site. As of April 23, more than 22,000 105mm projectiles have been destroyed and the total amount of agent destroyed is 130 U.S. tons.
