In March, the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) continued processing in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pandemic recommendations. The Rocket Non-Destructive Examination equipment went through a successful Factory Acceptance Test in Louisville. The Factory Acceptance Test provided function tests and a demonstration of operations before installation at the plant. On March 1, the first BGCAPP Lab analysis of undiluted agent taken from a VX projectile was conducted. Obtaining a periodic sample is required by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The Site Acceptance test of the Rocket Warhead Containerization System and the Vertical Rocket Cutting Machine occurred. Work continues at the Static Detonation Chamber 2000 site. As of March 19, the total amount of agent destroyed is 111.2 U.S. tons.
