The March 3 meeting to provide Blue Grass chemical weapons destruction updates to the public will be held online, again.
“Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the decision to not hold in-person meetings,” said Doug Hindman, chair, Kentucky Chemical Demilitarization Citizens’ Advisory Commission (CAC). “Conducting the meetings online has worked well. We are able to still share and discuss information, while protecting everyone from sharing contagions.”
The CAC and Chemical Destruction Community Advisory Board meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 3. It will be conducted through Microsoft Teams, but will also include a telephone option. This allows presenters to share slides and visuals, as well as attendees to interact and ask questions.
“The ability to stay connected with our community through online meetings has been essential during this pandemic,” said Dr. Candace Coyle, site project manager, Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant. “I look forward to continuing to share information, answering questions and discussing topics with the group.”
