In October, the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) continued operations under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pandemic recommendations. On Oct.5, Col. Gavin Gardner, commander of the U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command toured the PCAPP Static Detonation site. Newly appointed to his position, Col. Gardner is visiting all the installations under his command. Changeover activities continued as the workforce prepares for the next munition destruction campaign. Tasks include retrofitting all 10 Cavity Access Machines in the Munitions Washout System to accompany the 105mm projectile campaign. As of Oct. 23, the total amount of agent destroyed is 1,752.6 U.S. tons.
