In August, the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (PCAPP) continued processing under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) pandemic recommendations. Data recorded in July revealed the best month of processing at PCAPP with 15,440 155mm projectiles destroyed. The pavement surrounding the Static Detonation Chamber units is complete. Paving allows operations to start munitions and waste movement training. The CDC conducted their annual visit to the PCAPP Laboratory to observe improvements made to the agent monitoring system. As of Aug. 21, the total amount of agent destroyed is 1,696.3 U.S. tons.
