The Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) continued systemization, or testing, activities for preparation of operations in the main plant and began destruction operations in the Static Detonation Chamber (SDC) in June. On June 3, inspectors from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) arrived at BGCAPP to observe and confirm the destruction of mustard agent. The first munitions were moved from the Blue Grass Army Depot storage on June 6 and the first rounds of mustard munitions were successfully processed starting June 7. In the main plant, a total of 56 of 59 systems have been turned over to the operations team.
