“After one year with the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant, I can still say this is a very exciting program. The closer we get to completion of construction and into the full swing of systemization, the more impressed I am with the facility. Everyone involved in the effort to construct and get the plant on-line, should be proud of their efforts.”

Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant
Agent Filtration Area (AFA)

The Agent Filtration Area (AFA) was turned over for systemization, the process of ensuring that the plant is ready to begin chemical weapons destruction operations, in December 2011. The AFA consists of a series of air filter units, which will collect air from the Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant’s processing buildings and prevent potentially toxic agents from escaping into the environment.
Enhanced Reconfiguration Building (ERB)
The Enhanced Reconfiguration Building (ERB) was turned over for systemization in January 2012. The chemical munitions will be disassembled in the ERB.
Control and Support Building (CSB)
The Control and Support Building (CSB) was turned over for systemization in February 2012. The CSB will serve as PCAPP’s nerve center, directing operations remotely to ensure the safety of the workforce.
Medical Facility
The PCAPP Medical Facility was turned over for systemization in May 2012. The facility will offer on-site medical care.
